Mississippi Welders Supply Acquires Denzer CO2 & Service

Mississippi Welders Supply Company acquired the gas and cylinder distribution assets of Denzer CO2 & Service of Madison, WI. The acquired business services 600 beverage accounts throughout south central Wisconsin. The acquisition will be operated as part of Mississippi Welders Supply’s PurCo2 division.

Cee Kay Supply Honored for Service to Industry

The American Welding Society-St. Louis Section honored Cee Kay Supply and its Marketing Coordinator Andrew Swyers with the AWS District 14 Director Award, which recognizes loyalty and devotion to the affairs of AWS, effective service in the advancement of welding, and generous contributions of time and effort on behalf of the society. Swyers was also awarded the American Welding Society-St. Louis Section Meritorious Award, which recognizes service and devotion to the section and advancement of welding. “It’s great to work for a company like Cee Kay Supply that not only supports organizations like the American Welding Society, but also encourages their employees to stay active in associations,” Swyers says.

WestAir’s National City Plant Goes Solar

WestAir Gases & Equipment, Inc. is now powering its National City plant with solar power. “This installation is a positive step toward a healthy expansion for the WestAir facilities,” say President & COO Steve Byers. In other news, Victor Flores was appointed area manager for WestAir’s Central Valley region. The position supports WestAir’s growth and expansion in the region.

Acme Hires Key Account Manager

Dan Delp joined Acme Cryogenics as key account manager responsible for management of clients headquartered in northeastern United States. Delp previously worked in the medical distribution and medical manufacturing industries where he was involved with sales and account management for hospitals and clinical reference laboratories, with special attention placed on sales and portfolio growth. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he has served in numerous leadership positions in the Army.

Carl Gribschaw Joins Eleet

Eleet Cryogenics hired industry veteran Carl Gribschaw to work in sales, customer service and distribution management. Gribschaw has 20 years of experience with Praxair Inc. (initially Union Carbide–Linde) and 20+ with Integrated Process Technologies.

AWISCO Receives Image of Welding Award

AWISCO received the 2014 Image of Welding Award from the American Welding Society for its work promoting welding to students and their teachers. At its May trade show, AWISCO invited over 100 students and teachers from the New York area as special guests. The company frequently gives demonstrations and presentations at local schools and has collaborated with Sussex Technical School to organize and present workforce development awards for graduating students.

New Territory Manager Named for St. Louis

Patrick Howe was promoted to territory manager of Cee Kay Supply’s St. Louis territory. Howe began his career at Cee Kay 15 years ago in shipping & receiving, moved into sales, and in 2008 became branch manager of the O’Fallon, MO store. Howe will be taking over the St. Louis territory previously managed by Regional Manager Brian Reutiman and Jerry Simpson, who has retired.
