Cee Kay Supply Promotes Welding Badge

Twelve Boy Scouts attended a welding merit badge workshop hosted by Cee Kay Supply in St. Louis, MO. The scouts were required to learn about the hazards involved with welding and how to help prevent them, as well as first aid for injuries that could occur when welding. Scouts could use a virtual welder before trying a live weld. To earn the badge, each scout was required to weld their initials on a small metal coupon, tack plates together, and complete a square groove butt joint, T-joint and lap joint weld. This was the second testing held at Cee Kay since the origination of the badge in 2012.
